In the dealership environment, sales executives are always prepared to receive inquiries about new vehicles. One of the ways they become aware of potential vehicles to add to auction is when customers requests a valuation for their vehicles.
When to use it
When a vehicle is to be pushed back into the market
To do this, the seller must understand the value their vehicle has in order to put a price on it for potential buyers. With the auction offering, the vehicle is inspected and valuated by sales executives to list the vehicle at an appropriate market related value.
When the seller enquires about the value of their vehicle for a future sale
There are often cases where a client is two-minded about whether or not it is a good time to sell a vehicle. To assist them in this decision, the client may opt to request a valuation so that they have an idea regarding the potential sale value of their vehicle.
Where to find it
- Navigate to the 'Main Menu'.
- Select ‘Request Evaluation’.
- Complete the guided process.
How to use it
Log onto the mobile app
Log onto the DealersOnline mobile app using your assigned login details.
Access Request Evaluation
From the Main Menu, select Request Evaluation.
Scan Driver’s License
Scan the Driver’s license to automatically enter the customer’s details.
Enter Missing Information
Once the customer information found on the traffic system has loaded, proceed to fill in any missing details. These typically include the customer's cellphone number, email address, residential address, and provincial location.
Capture Driver’s License Image
Use the in-app camera to take a photo of the customer's driver's license. Ensure you capture the side of the license containing the image and personal details, not the side with the barcode. Alternatively, you can upload a photo of the license from your gallery. However, ensure it meets the required lighting standards of the auction.
Select Vehicle Details
Select the year model from the drop down list and indicate the type of vehicle you are inspecting.
Scan Driver’s License Disc
Using the license disc scanner, scan the license disc of the vehicle to automate the capturing of the vehicle details.
Await Automated Data Capture
Allow the apps system a moment to load the data.
Complete Vehicle Details
Once the vehicle data has been loaded and captured, complete the rest of the Vehicle Details form manually. These details include the mileage, exterior colour, spare keys and settlement details.
Save or Submit Inspection
Once you have completed the valuation request, you have the option to ‘Save’ the inspection to be completed at a later stage or submit the inspection for further steps completed using the valuation grid.
Await Inspection Confirmation
The Valuation Request will be processed by the dealership and assigned to an inspector to officially conduct the vehicle valuation.
